I write novels under several names and use the pen name Shannah Jay when writing fantasy and science fiction.

I haven't written a new book as Shannah Jay for a while, but am delighted to tell you that 'Shannah' has a new book coming out in December 2007 from Juno Books (www.juno-books.com)

I've always been more interested in what the people of the future or of other sorts of worlds might be like than in the technology, though of course the two are inextricably linked.

When I was writing The Chronicles of Tenebrak, I was fascinated by the thought of what a world and culture might be like if people had not gone blindly down the technology trail, but had tried to develop their own psychic gifts. Coming from a family with some psychic gifts, who can 'see' ghosts and occasionally foretell the future (which is not always a comfortable gift, believe me!) I felt I knew a little about all that.

The new book is called 'Tenebrak' and is set in the same world but in a much earlier era. I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed writing fantasy again and hope to write some more. You can see a list of my published or soon to be published books by clicking on booklist at the top of this page.
