Reader emails
January 2012
I must apologise for not keeping up to date with this section. I've had tight deadlines on books to be written, my husband had a hip replacement and I had to look after him. All in all, we think it's been the busiest time of our lives. Normal service will be resumed soon.
I like to feature reader emails here, because I get so many and it seems a shame just to file them away. I'll try to change these emails every month.

I just wanted to express my delight in being introduced to Anna Jacobs books. I was fortunate to have a 'Pennyworth of Sunshine' passed onto me from a friend and am now an avid reader of Anna's books. I have managed to get all of the old books, all the saga's and have been thrilled with everyone I have read. I have just completed my read with the five books contained in the Gibson Family series and what a joy they have all been the only trouble being I don't want to put them down once I start reading which causes many meals not being ready on time and lights out at night getting later and later.

Hi Just wanted to say a big thank you. I have always enjoyed reading but my mum having had difficulties with reading and writing when she was a child did not enjoy reading (mum is 67) . I can never remember my mum reading a book. A friend gave her "Salem Street" about a year ago and now we can’t buy her enough of your books - She even has got me addicted to the books you produce. She has a list of your books and ticks them off one by one as she reads them. Its a total transformation - she even gets up at 6-7 am just so she can read for an hour when no one else is about. Thank you for you inspiring novels and for introducing my mum to the world of books. Best wishes. A reader from Wales
I am having great pleasure in reading your Lancashire saga about the Gibsons and the Hallems. They make such compelling reading and so much better when one finds books that follow on. I know they may appeal to mostly female readers but there is such a wonderful insight into the lives of the Gibsons and Hallams that there is a lot there for the male reader. How do you keep track of all those wonderful characters? Thanks for some wonderful reading, great stuff. Keep 'em coming. A male redaer from Yorkshire

We have finished reading 2 more of your books and will be looking at the local Library for more because my wife and I are enjoying your books very much. Once we start reading them we just can’t put them down. Great stories, true to life and with happy endings. You are a great Author. Thank you so much. A husband and wife from Napier, New Zealand
Great 1800s onwards stories. Your books got me reading again. Could not concentrate after bereavement. I have read 4 of your books since April. Good for me. A reader from Australia
I have just finished reading two of your more modern day novels, "Chestnut Lane" and "Moving On ". What fantastic stories they both turned out to be. I was so enthralled with the stories that on going to bed I took the books with me to read deep into the night. I only stopped reading them when the book fell over and dropped onto my chest thereby waking me up. Keep on writing these wonderful stories, because we are ardent fans of yours.
