I'm published under various pen names, but mainly nowadays as Anna Jacobs writing historical sagas and modern family relationships novels.

In January 2008, my 42nd novel was published. It's a historical saga called 'Yesterday's Girl'. You can read more about it by clicking on the title on the left of this page, or read exerpts by clicking on the title at the right hand side.

'Yesterday's Girl' is one of the series about Lady Bingram's Aides. The other is 'Tomorrow's Promises'. These books are linked stories, in that the heroines were all aides working in London during World War I, then had to try to fit into a world where they were expected to go back to their old domestic roles.

I've always loved history - not the political stuff that I had to study at school and university, but social and economic history - how people lived, played, earned their daily bread. I have a wall of research books aimed at understanding the people of the past. Otherwise, how could I write about them? I've written both historical romances and historical sagas.

My 43rd book 'Freedom's Land' comes out at in July in the UK. This is set in 1925 against the background of group settlement in Western Australia. It was such fun researching the background, when forest land was given to ex-soldiers and money loaned to help turn that land into farms.

'Change of Season' was my first modern novel. This is what one reviewer said about it.
